We are pleased to report that, since May, we have raised almost £9 000 which brings the fund-raising total (excluding Gift Aid) to £84 590.87. The final count for Mike Atkinson’s talk was £82. We have received £14.40 from the buy.at/fulwood online shop and the sponsorship money from the Ladies After Eight Coast-to-Coast Walk has, so far, raised £4 117.49!

The Plant Sale would not have been a success without Mavis, Len, Joan, Morag, Thelma, Edna, Ray, Jan and Kay, all of whom we thank for their efforts.

The Avenham Singers concert was a joy! We were treated to some lovely singing and all enjoyed Bill Hemingway’s readings. The buffet supper was also appreciated afterwards. Our thanks, again, go to Mavis, to all the singers and to those who helped with the buffet and set out the room. Take a bow, Len, Edna, Ray, Jan, Thelma and Cath. We are pleased to report that £294 was raised as well.

Jigsaw sale

The jigsaw sale will now take place next Saturday, 29th October on the same day as the Charity Card sale. Jigsaws may be brought to church this week. Alternatively, contact Barbara Hothersall on 716203.

St. Leonard’s Choral Group Concert— Autumnal Extravaganza

We welcome St. Leonard’s singers on at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, 8th November. Tickets, which cost £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, including tea, coffee and biscuits, are on sale after the service and from members of the Fundraising Group.
