Great truths that
little children have learned:
- No matter how hard you try, you can't
baptise cats.
- When your Mum is mad at your Dad, don't
let her brush your hair.
- If your sister hits you, don't hit
her back. They always catch the second person.
- Never ask your 3-year old brother to
hold a tomato.
- You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
- Don't sneeze when someone is cutting
your hair.
- Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat
at the same time.
- You can't hide a piece of broccoli
in a glass of milk.
- Don't wear polka-dot underwear under
white shorts.
- The best place to be when you're sad
is Grandpa's lap.
Did you know?
- Honeybees must visit two million flowers to make 500g
of honey.
- Honeybees visit between 50 to 100 flowers in one trip
- A hive of honeybees flies approx. 55,000 miles to collect
one pound of honey.
- A single hive or colony may contain
50,000 to 100,000
individual worker bees depending on the time of year.
- An average life span of a worker honeybee is 45 days.
- A queen bee can live for 3 years and can lay up to 1000
eggs per day.
- It would take about 30g of honey to fuel a honeybee's
flight around the world.
