Julie and Michael were married at Fulwood Methodist Church 
by
Sister Myrtle on 28th September 1996 and their daughter Caroline
was baptised on 6th December 1998.
They first met as students when working at Sainsburys and have been together for 13 years. Julie was born in Preston and educated at Cuthbert Mayne R.C. High School. Michael was born in Jamaica, coming to Preston in 1967 when 3 years old.
Both studied at Preston Polytechnic where Michael got his HND in Mechanical & Production Engineering and Julie received a BA Hons. in Applied Social Studies followed by her CQSW. Michael later went to Salford University to obtain his Diploma in Social Work.
Michael is a Senior Social Worker and Julie works part-time for Salford Social Services Dept. as a Young Carersê Development Worker, although she is leaving in April as baby number two is expected in May 1999. (They are hoping to move to a larger house this summer!)
Both are vegetarian, but you'll have to ask them why.
They find Fulwood Methodist Church very warm and welcoming and feel part of the family, although Julie found us very different from her more formal Catholic upbringing.
