This site is syndicated in a number of ways, including by email and RSS. Some files, particularly audio, are even podcasted.
RSS feeds provide an easy way for you to keep updated automatically on websites you are interested in. Instead of having to visit a website to see if a new article or feature, you can use RSS feeds to tell you every time that something new appears.
Some web browsers (such as Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 7 and Opera) support Live Bookmarks which appear in your bookmarks bar as in the picture on the right.
Some of you may already use RSS software (news aggregators) to receive news and articles from chosen websites of interest. But for those who don’t there is advice available on how to set up and use this service below.
If you do not already have suitable software, you will need to download a news aggregator
(many of these are free or cheap) or use an online service. This displays RSS feeds from your chosen websites on your computer. Usually you will see a headline, brief description, and a link to the full article.
A few such programs are listed in the table below. A Google search will bring up many others.
