The stewards would like to thank you for your co-operation during the fire drill on Sunday, 13th August.
The object of the exercise as a whole was achieved, however a few pointers were learned.
It is important that members of the congregation follow the instructions of the stewards particularly with regard to:
- remaining seated until directed;
- leaving by the exits stated;
- proceeding to the designated assembly point;
- remaining there until all members have been accounted for.
Please remember in the event of a fire that the stewards are totally responsible for a safe evacuation. They will know the source of the danger and the safest evacuation procedures.
Thanks to your purchases through our online shopping partners such as Amazon, John Lewis and Cartridge People, the church has just received a cheque for £25.01.
Please remember to use the shop whenever possible when making any online purchases. The shop has now raised £105.63 since it opened last year.
Finally I, Diana, was told on 30th June that I could fly on 1st July which made that Friday very busy. I was pleased though fearful about my return to Ghana as knew I had improved healthwise yet still had a long way to go. By 5pm I had both the e-tickets for the flight and coach in my hand so was up at 4am the following day to start my journey.

We are pleased to report that our total raised is £98 649.16 (£1296.90 since May). The Book Sale, though fairly quiet, raised over Saturday and Sunday, the acceptable sum of £225.64. Thanks to Sue Penrith and Liz Huddleston who helped set it all up on the Friday and to those who helped at the sale— Ly Fenton, Mavis Fletcher, Charlotte Penrith, Jan Astley, Thelma Williams, Jacqueline Clarke, Veronica Frost, Liz Huddleston and Morag McManus and all who helped on the Sunday. The remaining books are going to a good home.
