As you may know the G8 are meeting in Germany during the first week of June.
Local organisers thought this would be an excellent opportunity to hold a public meeting that asks the simple question:
G8 two years on - Why didn’t they Make Poverty History?
The meeting is open to all and hopefully will encourage debate and perhaps identify campaigning strategies.
So far speakers have been invited (or are in the process of being inviting) from: Oxfam, World Development Movement, Cafod - full list of speakers to follow.
The details of the meeting are:
Title: The G8 two years on - why didn’t they Make Poverty History?
Venue: Central methodist Church
Date Tuesday 5 June 2007
Time: 7pm
The notices for the week beginning 27th May are now online.
Please note that, due to problems with the photocopiers, there will be no NftP this week.
