A further £20 has come in from sales of the Quiz bringing the final total to £150. Mavis plans another one for round about Easter time. The Table-Top Sale raised £204 for the funds and some of this has been Gift Aided. Quite a few folk supported it and we had about a dozen tables. Thank you to Edna and Ray Armstrong who were the main organisers and to the kitchen team of Dot Bunting, Judith Harvey and Thelma Williams. Thanks to Jean Reid for manning the Church table and to Jan Astley who helped us clear away at the end. Thanks also to all who donated items for sale.

The ACTS production of The Peace Child was a great success and well supported. Our thanks to the long list of people who took part and helped in many ways. It had a powerful message which was put across very well and everyone enjoyed being involved in this very successful form of outreach. We cannot report the total raised because there are two outstanding bills from outside sources to be paid. However, we will have raised between £1,000 and  1,500. Tony Whitman will publish it as soon as he can.

Forthcoming events

KEQM Singers Concert

Saturday, 29th March at 7.30pm in the Church. The King Edwards and Queen Mary’s Singers will entertain with a program of sacred and light music. They will be joined by the Schools, Swing Band and Chamber Choir. Tickets are on sale in the Hall after service £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for children. Refreshments will be included.

Dates for your diary

The April Cake and Produce Stall on Sunday 6th. Saturday 19th A Spring Visit to Ribblesdale Nursery from 6.30pm onwards. On May 3rd we hope to arrange the Sponsored Walk along the Lancaster Canal which was postponed from last year. The Cake and Produce Stall will be held on Sunday 4th and on Saturday 17th we shall have the Spring Plant Sale.
