I know it seems a long time ago but we actually raised over £400 at the Plant Sale once both bills were settled.

Thank you to Gill and Roy Jolley who held another dinner party and raised £72.00.
The Book Sale has raised £260.00 which is excellent considering it was not very well supported. Thanks to Ann Done, Liz Huddleston, Jan Astley, Edna and Ray Armstrong, Amanda Latham Veronica Frost and Joan Hardman for helping on the day, and to Liz for helping to set the books out, Dave Topping and Roy Jolley for transporting the books to St Catherine’s warehouse, to Veronica for taking books to Oxfam and finally, Chris Birkett and various members of the Penrith family for disposing of the unsaleable items. Again we are very much indebted to Mack Dunsmore and URC for helping us out and making us feel very much at home there.

On August Bank Holiday Monday nine folk had a very pleasant walk around CalderVale and Bleasdale led by Joan Smith. This raised £27.00 which is part of Ladies After Eight 2012 Challenge. Thank you, Joan for a lovely day.
