How to find Fulwood Methodist Church

View the location map from MultiMap.

Fulwood Methodist Church can be found on the corner of the A6 Garstang Road and Watling Street Road in Fulwood, Preston. Large scale map

By car

From the Fylde and the North:

You can find the church about two miles from the M6 J32 or the M55 J1. Simply follow the signs for the A6 Preston. After a couple of miles, shortly after a speed camera (note that the speed limit is 30mph), you will come to a set of lights with a Shell petrol station on one corner and a Royal Bank of Scotland on another.

Turn left here. The church is on the left-hand side, just round the corner. Parking is available on the car parks at the front and rear of the church as well as, on Sundays, at the accountants’ across the road. Please ensure that you park sensibly to avoid inconveniencing local residents.

From the South and East:

Leave the M6 at J31a on to the B6242. Take the third exit at the roundabout (following signs for Preston North End and the National Football Museum). Take the second exit (i.e. straight on) at the next roundabout. Turn left at the third (and last) roundabout. You should still be following the signs for the National Football Museum.

Turn right at the traffic lights. You are now on Watling Street Road and should be able to see the White Hart pub shortly on your right.

Follow this road for half a mile to the next junction. Take the right-hand lane at the traffic lights to continue along Watling Street Road. Continue straight ahead at the next lights. The church is at the end of the road on the right.

By bus

Take the number 7 (Brookfield) or number 32 (Tanterton via Lightfoot Lane) to the Withy Trees. Preston Bus charge about a pound from the bus station but be warned that they do not give change. Some Stagecoach Ribble buses also stop near the church.

By train

A free bus runs from the railway station to the bus station. Keep hold of your rail ticket to use this service.
